Due to national railway strike in France it was hard to get hobby time. Still I had enough time yesterday to glue the 2 cavalry troop multibase parts. The second one having slightly warped during the printing process, I had to use some greenstuff to get a flat bottom suitable to later glue a magnet sheet under it.

Today I base coated the multi base. It seems that 3 layer of diluted PVA glue is the requirement to get a smooth top surface.  I also continued to paint my hackpaw regiment. Even If not totally finished, I'm now confident they will get playable for the next tournament. As theirs giant rat mounts don't feel like "enough evil", I'm considering to print them some sharp armor piece. However, I have to be careful as the unit only have a 3+ defense which mean very light armor. I plan to try to print helmets such as the one held by the league of legend champion, marauder Alistar.

I'm pretty satisfied of the result I got with my regiment multibase, however there still some visible lines caused by the 3D printing process. I'll try to use liquid green stuff on the next multibase I printed today :

Today I re-based of my Weapon team on the top of the first 3D printed base, and started to paint the next one. I plan to print more base the next week end, and work on clean photo setup to both ease the daily update and increase picture quality.

Today I applied the second layer of diluted glue on the regiment base. I will start to paint it tomorrow. As I finally get certain I'll play an Hackpaw Regiment, I let down the shock troop models I debased the last few days for later, and started to build up additional mounted rats. For now, I used some Halloween toys as mount for my Ratkin army's characters. Just have to put some normal warriors on top of them to get standard mounted Ratkins I guess... Here come one of the mounted enforcer I usually play :

Today I applied the first layer of glue on the top of my 3D printed base. I then refined my list for the next tournament I will attend to, the Rotomagus 2018 . I had to do some tweak on the 2000 points list I intent to play on general 2000 point game using the CoK 2018 ruleset.

I painted my first 3D printed base ever. Here are what I should improve for the next bases : Even if I'm making a Ruined Dwarf City themed multibase, without grass the base felt weird (already fixed on the picture) Grass without earth to grow on fell weird. I probably should use some plaster paste to create dirt area. Smothing while not mandatory may be good, however the two layer of PVA helped to smooth the sides.

Had a few time today due to cancel and delayed train to go back to home... I managed to find half an hour to debase 2 additional massive darkness miniatures, en prime coat the 50mm base. Painting could start this week-end. Additionally, here is the 3D base I printed yesterday. The whole printing took 3hours and 2 minutes.

Didn't had many time today. I prepared tomorow 3D printing, a normal infantry regiment one featuring a celtic runic knot model. I'm hoping the settings which made the square 50mm base successful will also works for this larger one. I also spent a few minutes verifying the truth of Grand Master Peter Jackson tips : Don't lose time to make a damaged model. Make it clean, then and only then randomly dommage it manually. It's way faster and the result is way better. ( I'm actually not sure of the credit, but I'm almost certain I heard that in the Lord of the Ring's behind the scene bonus)
